Marshall Amplification was founded in 1962 by Jim Marshall in Hanwell, London. What began as a small music shop quickly became the amplifier of choice for the greatest rock guitarists in history — Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Pete Townshend, Slash, and countless others who have defined the sound of rock and roll. The iconic Marshall stack — a head unit atop two 4x12" speaker cabinets — became the universal symbol of rock power and remains one of the most recognisable images in music. Today, Marshall continues to build on that legacy with a range of amplifiers for every player, from compact practice amps to powerful gigging combos and innovative digital modeling amplifiers.
