Turn slowly — make small adjustments (1/4 turn at a time) and allow the neck to settle before measuring again

Clockwise = tighten — reduces neck relief (straightens the neck); counter-clockwise = loosens (adds relief)

Check neck relief first — capo the 1st fret and fret the last fret, then measure the gap at the 7th–8th fret

When in doubt — consult a guitar technician. Over-tightening can damage the neck or truss rod

A: Most Martin acoustic guitars use a 5mm hex truss rod nut. Many electric guitars (including Fender and Gibson-style) use 4mm. Check your guitar's manual or measure the truss rod nut before adjusting. If unsure, contact us via WhatsApp.

Q: Why do I need a long wrench instead of a standard hex key?
