The Evans TT08EC2S EC2S Clear Tom Batter Drumhead delivers a punchy, resonant tone with controlled overtones — ideal for rack toms where clarity and attack matter. Built from two plies of 7-mil clear film, the EC2S features Evans' Sound Shaping Technology (SST) — an internal ring mounted beneath the head that manages edge vibration without eliminating it entirely.

Rather than choking the head, the SST ring isolates and damps higher overtones while preserving low-end resonance and enhancing attack. The result is a focused, punchy sound with a broader tuning range than a standard two-ply head.
