Evans B13EC2S EC2 Frosted is a type of drumhead made by Evans, a company that specializes in producing drumheads and other percussion accessories. The B13EC2S model is specifically designed for use on a 14-inch snare drum and features a frosted, two-ply film construction with a Sound Shaping Technology (SST) ring that enhances attack and reduces overtones.

The Evans EC2 Coated Drumhead with SST is a two-ply head with 7mil each, with Sound Shaping Technology mounted underneath. By controlling edge vibration (instead of eliminating it), the ring isolates and damps higher overtones, enhancing low-end and attack, and enabling a broader tuning range with the EC2 Coated Drumhead with SST.
