The Allparts EP-0280-010 is a genuine Switchcraft-style straight 1/4" TS (Tip-Sleeve) mono cable mount plug — the industry-standard connector for DIY guitar and bass cable repair, custom instrument cable builds, and patch cable fabrication. Heavy-duty nickel-plated housing, solder connection, and a built-in cable clamp provide a reliable, tight-fitting connection that won't work loose under stage conditions. Sold individually.

Switchcraft connectors are the benchmark for professional instrument cable plugs — used by cable manufacturers, guitar technicians, and touring musicians worldwide for their reliable contact, robust construction, and consistent fit. The EP-0280-010 delivers that same Switchcraft-style quality in a straight cable mount format, compatible with most standard 6.35mm mono instrument cables.

TS Mono — Instrument Cable Use

The EP-0280-010 is a TS (Tip-Sleeve) mono plug — the correct connector type for standard mono instrument cables used with electric guitars, bass guitars, and most effects pedals. TS plugs carry a single unbalanced audio signal and are not suitable for stereo or balanced applications. For stereo or TRS applications, a TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve) plug is required.

Solder Connection & Cable Clamp

The solder connection type provides the most reliable, lowest-resistance electrical connection available — preferred by professional cable builders and guitar technicians over crimp or solderless connectors for permanent, high-quality cable builds. The built-in cable clamp secures the cable jacket inside the plug body, reducing strain on the solder joints and preventing the connection from being pulled apart under tension.
